Our Philosophy
We believe that we are stewards of God's creatures and that we will be held responsible by Him for the care and treatment of our puppies. We also believe in raising puppies so that they will be well adjusted and comfortable with their new families. We breed for the standard focusing mainly on health and temperment.
Puppy Rearing
We hand-raise our puppies. We work to get to know them personally to assess each one's personality in order to match them with the right owner. We make sure to handle each one and give them their own individual attention.
We take them to the vet to dock their tails and remove their dew claws between 3 and 5 days old. Although we prefer natural ears, we crop the ears only at 8 to 10 weeks if it is requested. It must be understood that to ear crop a dog will mean putting its life in jepardy for a purely cosmetic procedure. I am working to create a breeding line with dogs whose ears stand up naturally and look beautiful.
We make an effort to have our puppies 75% litterbox-trained before they reach their new, loving homes. We crate them at night, put them on leashes, let them go in the grass weather permitting, and take them on car rides. We do this so to expose them to many different evironments so when they get to their new homes they can feel more comfortable.
Our puppies are spoiled but we teach them manners as well. We teach them that humans may touch their ears, paws, teeth, etc. in order to take care of them. They are used to being around other dogs from small to large.
Our pups will be up to date with vaccinations when they go home. They have a 1 yr. health guarantee and will be American Kennel Club and Continental Kennel Club registerable.
Prices
Our puppies are priced by quality and color. The average price is usually between $400 and $550. This price includes tail docking, dewclaw removal, first set of shots, wormings, and tons of socialization - add $250 for shipping a puppy and $300 for ear cropping to be done under anesthetic at a Veternarian's office.
